Run Command shortcuts

This article gives you a quick and easy way to access applications like excel, word, notepad, mspaint, internet explorer etc. In addition, it shows how to display “Run” tab on the start menu. 

We can use the “Run” command line to quickly open folders, documents etc.

To reach run dialog box, go to start and choose run. Alternatively, press the windows and R key. Now in the box just type in excel to open excel, winword to open word, notepad to open Notepad, iexplore to launch internet explorer, explorer to launch windows explorer, mspaint to open microsoft paint, calc to open calculator.

If you can’t see “Run” button in your start menu, just follow the instructions below to have it back:

Right click on the Start Menu and select “Properties”.

Choose the “Start Menu” tab and click “Customize”.

Just check the “Display Run” option and hit “OK”.
